This is a solution that you can count on when trying to solve your car idles roughly. After reading a lot of an article and found that not any solution read on the forum solve my car idling problem. Then I found something clearly state on an article but not found either on the forum or blog post. That is "EGR valve".
Normally, forumers will ask you to clean your TB or just change your TB servo gear kit. Even worst, their ask you to change your TB. Either recond or a new one than can cause you a lot of money.
From my experience, TB should not be changed. Just in case that your servo motor or feedback control device (that look like an IC) is dead then you need a new TB. But no worries because their rarely failed. Only the servo gear kit should be changed if the gear broken or the screw valve is flat/shrink. Latest model using stepper motor that not use gear kit.
Yes, first clean your TB and change your servo gear kit. the second part is to clean your EGR Valve. What is EGR valve? Where is it located on your engine? that part you can ask uncle google. Many articles mentioning about EGR valve but none you will find in most popular forums discussed about car's rough idling.
I went to workshop and ask them to clean my EGR valve. Their as me back. What? what is that? ... I mean E.G.R (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. Their look at me with weird face. Oh.. never mind. I show them the valve and ask them to clean with chemical to unblock some carbon inside it.
After installed properly. Start my car and what you guess? car's RPM goes to 2500rpm. wow!!.. I'm shocked. whats wrong? I ask the mechanic to close the bleeding air screw but the RPM only decreased to 2000rpm after closed completely. After that the mechanic adjusting the butterfly blocker and the problem is settled down.
Thats it. JUST CLEAN YOUR EGR VALVE. I found that this is solving my car idles problem.
